“We had to look that up on Ticketmaster!” Union J fans vent their anger after the X Factor boy band CANCEL their reunion tour without any warning
Fans were outraged on Friday after the X-Factor boy band Union J canceled their reunion tour without any public announcement.
The band first rose to fame as a contestant on The X Factor in 2012, where they placed fourth in the competition and later signed a record deal with Sony.
Although the group officially broke up in 2019, they announced in December 2022 that they would reunite for a reunion tour in Spring 2023.
They would perform in Newcastle, Manchester, Glasgow, Birmingham and Liverpool.
But when she took to Twitter, one fan was left furious after she received an email that her ticket to the concert at the Liverpool Empire Theater had been refunded.

The email read: ‘Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, the show’s promoters have made the difficult decision to cancel the performance that was due to take place on June 3, 2023.
“We understand the disappointment this will cause and apologize for any inconvenience.”
The fan lashed out at the band, captioning the post: “Their silence on all of this is actually disrespectful.”
Responding to a comment about whether this was just for Liverpool or not, she confirmed that the cancellation applied to the ‘whole tour’ and said ‘don’t know why they haven’t said anything’.
Other fans were angry too, as one wrote, “So Union J post on the personal accounts but didn’t say anything about tour cancellation!
Another wrote: ‘guys don’t use the band account on Insta to promote your own stuff if you can’t even give us a reason (so far) why there’s no tour. firework.’
‘A little understated glad I never got tickets when they do it that way. I love them, but they MUST ADDRESS this issue,” a third added.
A fourth wrote: “Not the union canceling their tour and we all find out through ticketmaster…which kept them from telling us themselves.”

The group was formed as a talent show four-piece alongside George Shelley, who left the group in 2016. They were initially signed to RCA Records and released their first single in June 2013.
Stereo Kicks singer and later Ex On The Beach star Casey Johnson, who shares two children with Marnie Simpson, replaced George in 2016, but bosses soon dropped him.
The band would perform five special shows in 2023 as part of their reunion tour.
They also had dates for their tour scheduled for Newcastle and Glasgow in May – both of which have been cancelled.
Union J representatives have been contacted for comment.
