The Harry and Meghan episode of South Park is about the relationship between Duchess and Michelle Obama

A little detail hidden in South Park’s brutal takedown episode of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex focuses on Meghan Markle’s relationship with Michelle Obama.
Although Harry and Meghan are not mentioned, the TV show depicted the fictional Prince and Princess of Canada – a young royal couple who repeatedly begged for privacy while drawing attention to themselves, and who bear an uncanny resemblance to the Duke and Duchess .
The red-haired prince and his wife, who wears the same dusty pink outfit that Meghan donned for Trooping the Color in 2018, along with an almost identical hat that sits askew on her head, are promoting the prince’s book, Waaagh, the the cover of which closely resembles Harry’s memoir Spare.
In the episode, the couple embark on a “Worldwide Privacy Tour” in which the cartoon couple do TV interviews before moving to South Park “for privacy.”

In the episode, the cartoon princess – who bears an uncanny resemblance to Meghan – has listed one of her main interests as “First Lady Botherer” in her professional bio.

It seems to indicate that Meghan (right) is harassing former First Lady Michelle Obama (left).
To restore their image, the Prince and Princess of Canada seek help from a brand management agency.
While there, viewers get a peek at the princess’s profile, which describes her as “sorority girl, actress, influencer, and victim.”
It encompasses her interests, including yoga, calligraphy, cuisine, writing, lifestyle, advocacy, acting, blogging, and feminism.
The profile also mentions a lawyer pretending to be and a slanderer of the first lady.
The first is a reference to Meghan’s role in the legal drama Suits, and the second seems to suggest she is harassing former First Lady Michelle Obama.
Harry has grown close to the Obamas over a number of years, speaking at a summit for the Obama Foundation in November 2017.
They have also worked closely together and previously promoted the Invictus Games.
In 2018, it emerged that a pregnant Meghan had secretly attended Michelle Obama’s book event in London.
After the event, Meghan met Michelle backstage, in what has been described as a “power meeting.”
It was clear that during the “long private audience,” the women discussed a range of topics, including pregnancy, starting a family and their shared interest in advancing girls’ education, the Evening Standard reported.
But Tom Bower’s 2018 book – Revenge: Meghan, Harry And The War Between The Windsors – claimed that Michelle was “alarmed” by Meghan’s attitude during their first meeting, according to News week.
“The Duchess doesn’t seem to realize the admiration the Obamas had for the Queen,” Tom wrote.
Meghan’s attitude disturbed Michelle. Her advice to Meghan was given publicly.

The cartoon couple, the Prince and Princess of Canada, become enraged when the host questions whether their book, interviews and Netflix show are undermining their quest for privacy.
“Take your time,” Obama said in an interview, “and don’t be in a rush to do anything.”
In a warning letter, she added: “Like me, Meghan probably never dreamed she would have a life like this; no deal, the pressure you feel can sometimes feel like a lot.”
Michelle also responded to Meghan and Harry’s Oprah interview in 2021, saying she personally chose to focus on the people she “serves” rather than herself while on public service, in what seemed like a thinly veiled swipe at the couple.
The former first lady was asked by Jenna Bush Hager what she thought of Meghan’s comments in a segment that aired on NBC at the time.
“When you saw Meghan Markle speak, what went through your mind?” asked Bush Hager.
Michelle responded, “Public service, it’s a bright, sharp, hot spotlight and most people don’t understand it and shouldn’t. What I always keep in mind is that this isn’t all about us, in public service, it’s about the people we serve.

“I always try to push the light back out and focus it on the people we’re actually serving here.”
The final South Park episode also sees the Prince and Princess of Canada storm off on a TV show after being challenged about their motives, before moving to South Park, with the Princess declaring, “If we moved here, would people think we’re really serious about wanting to be normal.’
But their arrival enrages the local community – particularly protagonist Kyle, who lives across the street from them.
He complains about their private jet parked in front of the house and the prince playing polo on the lawn.
“They have a huge plane parked in front of my house and they keep wanting me to buy their book,” he complains to his friends: Kenny, Cartman, and Stan.
The episode takes multiple, thinly veiled swipes at the Sussexes, who embark on a global “we want privacy” tour as they yell at stunned locals, seemingly mocking Harry’s frozen penis, which he described in his memoir.
