Shakira looked sensational on Friday night when she performed her hit No. 1 TQG for the first time on The Tonight Show in New York City.
The hitmaker, 46, took the stage to give an energetic performance of the new release, which contains multiple references to her ex Gerard Pique – who she split from in June after 11 years together.
The age-defying star made quite the vengeance comeback, donning a pair of leather chaps while showing off her figure in a black mesh bodysuit.
She appeared on the show with Bizarrap, chatted with Jimmy Fallon about their joint new release and referenced her recent split.
On the show, she explained that the song was “a healthy way to channel my emotions”, adding that she had to “put up with so much cr*p”.
Wow! Shakira turned up the heat in leather chaps on Friday night to perform THAT breakup hit about ex Gerard Piqué for the first time on The Tonight Show
Shakira took the stage to give her first-ever live performance of the song, which topped the charts and reached No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200.
Her mesh bodysuit looked sensational and featured a cut-out underbust detail, while a silver zipper detail adorned the center of her chap pants.
She let her long caramel locks flow freely in a loose curl as she opted for a bright and luminous makeup palette.
While Argentinian producer Bizarrap joined her, wearing a dark washed denim shirt with a white T-shirt and a black baseball cap.
It was one of Shakira’s two ensembles for the TV appearance as she donned a sparkly black mini dress to sit down and chat with host Jimmy.
The new hit is a “diss” track named after Shakira’s ex Gerard, with whom she shares two children and who she divorced after he was allegedly unfaithful during the relationship.
Referring to the split for the first time on TV, she shared: ”It was incredible to feel the reaction from so many people. I think people really connect with music when it’s real and real, it’s coming from a real place. The thing with this song is that it has become like an anthem for so many women out there.
“I’ve had a really rough year after my divorce and writing this song has been so important to me. It’s been a healthy way to channel my emotions.

Shakira reportedly realized her ex-boyfriend had been unfaithful when she discovered a jar of strawberry jam had been eaten in her absence
She then described the strawberry jam in a music video for her single Te Felicito in April, which featured a clip of her collaborator Raw Alejandro’s head in an open refrigerator.
According to ToonNews Today, Shakira knew Gerard and their two children didn’t like strawberry jam, so she suspected someone else was staying at their house when she found the jar.
Shakira came home from a stint traveling when she found the jam in her fridge had been eaten, and she knew the rest of her family hated it.
The singer seemed to allude to this in the music video for her single Te Felicito, which shows her opening a fridge only to be greeted by Rauw’s head.
She also reportedly placed a terrifying life-sized witch doll on the balcony of her Spanish home, which allegedly overlooks the pillow of her former mother-in-law.
Residents in the area have reported hearing Shakira “blasting the song at full volume” from her home, including lyrics aimed at his new girlfriend.
Shakira, makes it crystal clear that she’s referring to the 23-year-old her ex-partner who allegedly started dating last year before they broke up, saying, “I’m worth two 22s.” You traded a Ferrari for a Twingo. You traded in a Rolex for a Casio.”
While Shakira’s new song contains some barbed lyrics aimed at Gerard and his new love Clara, it also contains a few choice words for her ex-mother-in-law.

In the song she sings the line: “You left my mother-in-law as my neighbor, with the press at the door and the debt in the treasury…”
It has been reported that the relationship between Shakira and Montserrat Bernabéu [Gerard’s mother] has turned sour after happily welcoming her son’s new romance with Clara Chia Marti.
Last month, Gerard confessed in an on-air chat with Spanish streamer Ibai Llanos that Clara picks out his clothes for him when they go shopping together, comparing herself to a “puppet.”
“The truth is that I go to the shops with my girlfriend and she buys them for me. I’m a puppet,” he said when asked if he’s still keeping up with fashion trends since he stopped playing professional football.
Pique’s lawyer recently praised the retired footballer and singer-songwriter ex Shakira for showing “great intelligence” in the way they resolved their breakup.
The couple saved their two children a damaging legal battle by confirming last November that they had reached a custody agreement after protected negotiations and signing the agreement in a Barcelona court the following month.
Veteran family lawyer Ramon Tamborero, who represented the ex-footballer in his negotiations with the Colombian artist, insisted: “They made a huge effort for the well-being of their children, making sure they were not the protagonists. Both have shown great intelligence.’
In a surprise interview with the Catalan daily La Vanguardia, the 74-year-old admitted about the talks that led to the agreement: “It took seven months of negotiations.
‘The agreement was complex and required preparatory talks. And the decisive reunion for the signing lasted 13 hours.’
Asked about the purpose of so much dialogue, he made it clear that he believed an agreement between two former partners was a better option than a custody trial and a judge’s ruling by replying, “A bad agreement is better than a good punishment.”
“I always tell my clients, once you’ve signed your divorce settlement, I recommend putting it in a draw and in dialogue.”
It came just weeks after Gerard and Clara made their relationship official on Instagram, with the sportsman hugging his new love, 23, in a happy selfie – which quickly racked up a million likes.
