Shakira looked in high spirits as she arrived at New York City’s JFK Airport with her two sons on Thursday.

It comes after it was revealed that Shakira plans to move to Miami in three weeks.

Last year it was revealed she would be making the move, after negotiating a custody deal with Gerard Pique.

Shakira’s desire to move to Miami, where she used to live and where part of her family lives, is said to have been the main sticking point in the former couple’s previous failure to reach an amicable settlement.

Laura Fa, one of two journalists who regularly report on the mother-of-two, told Catalan newspaper El Periodico: “What we are being told today is that she has a scheduled date to move there, which is April 1.

Colleague Lorena Vasquez added: “This is information we are receiving from the close circle of the former couple.

“The only obstacle would be Shakira’s father’s health and it is well documented that his health is a bit complicated at the moment.

“Shakira’s idea is to take advantage of spring break in the United States to travel to Miami with her sons so they can start their classes when the kids come back to class there.”
