Russian teens ‘stab a man to death at a party, then kill the four female guests, rape one, before burning their bodies’

Two teenage boys allegedly stabbed a third to death after arguing over their cell phones – then killed four girlfriends they were with so they couldn’t tell police about the murder.
Sergey Burkaev, 16, and Konstantin Surkov, 17, allegedly raped their latest victim before slitting her throat.
The vodka-fueled duo dipped all five bodies in gasoline and set them on fire near a flat in southwest Russia, according to prosecutors.

The baby-faced couple apparently fled in a stolen car, but were arrested by traffic cops, who saw the vehicle driving erratically.
If Surkov and Burkaev are convicted, they risk life in prison.
Police who questioned them say both teens confessed to the murders and rapes. The only reason they have given for the massacre was that they were drunk, the officers added.
The heinous crimes reportedly took place at a house party in the small town of Kumertau in Bashkortostan on Friday night.
A friend of partygoers – 17-year-old Svetlana Frolova – said: “I just can’t believe this happened. They were all so friendly to each other and always hung out together.
“I was also invited (to the party) and really wanted to go, but my mother told me to stay inside and do my homework. I’m so glad I did. I can’t understand why they did this.’

The drunken Surkov and Burkaev are said to have accused fellow party member Sidor Fokine (22) of stealing their mobile phones.
When he denied it, they became furious and drew out their knives. Then they stabbed him in front of the other guests – all of whom were female.
But they feared the young women would identify them as the killers. So they stabbed them too, including 16-year-old Maria Sorokina, in whose flat they were partying, and her 17-year-old friend Anastasia Selezneva.

The other victims were 21 and 22 years old. Anastasia was the last to be killed – and she was raped before her brutal death. The five bodies were set on fire in the apartment.
A police spokesman said of Surkov and Burkaev: ‘They were apprehended while trying to escape in a stolen car. They were covered in blood and still drunk.
“So far they’ve only said they did it because they were drunk.”
