Renee Zellweger takes the stage with a guitar and sings gigs with CM Talkington in Austin

Renee Zellweger adds singer to her resume.

The Chicago actress, 53, joined filmmaker and singer-songwriter CM Talkington, 56, onstage at the Paste Magazine Austin Showcase on Friday in Austin, Texas.

The Academy Award winner – who is right with boyfriend Ant Antstead – looked every bit like a rock star in a blue, pink and white plaid shirt over a gray T-shirt as she strummed a guitar.

She wore fashionable ripped jeans and black Converse sneakers as she sang.

Her shoulder-length blonde bob was topped with a burnt orange baseball cap from the University of Texas.

After a fan raved that Zellweger has the “voice of an angel” on Twitter, her beau replied, “She’s the best!!!”

In January, Talkington announced his latest album, Texas Radio, and revealed that Zellweger is singing with him on the single Two Steps.

“Love this record,” said the Jerry Maguire star at the time. “From the milestones that led to this moment on the triumphant side of healing…the songs are an authentic and raucous celebration of life and hope made in the great Austin tradition of gathering friends to make music for the joy of it, and it feels like home.’

She continued, “Roll down the windows. Find a long stretch of highway. Turn it up!’

Texas Radio was released on March 17, 2023. Talkington compares the album to “driving through Texas and making your way across the AM dial.”

The music on the album is a mix of country, Tejano, soul, rock ‘n’ roll, blues, gospel and rockabilly.

Talkington and Zellweger met in the 1990s when she starred in 1994’s Love and a .45, which he wrote and directed.

And the Bridget Jones’ Diary actress is still going strong with Antstead, 43.

Earlier this year, she joined the TV presenter on a trip back to his native UK with his son Hudson, three, who he shares with his ex, Christina Hall, 39.

Avid fans spotted her in a photo Ant shared on Instagram showing Hudson practicing his cricketing skills.

Although she was hidden in the background of the photo, one key detail gave her away: her recognizable orange Texas Longhorns hat.

The actress, who hails from Texas and studied English literature at the University of Texas at Austin, has long been a fan of her alma mater team, and the hat — which she also wore on stage on Friday — is a regular part of her low – important ensembles.

Zellweger met her boyfriend on the set of Celebrity IOU: Joyride, went Instagram official with the host in August 2021.

The two were reportedly dating in June of that year, shortly after he finalized his divorce from the Christina on the Coast star.

And according to friends, the couple is getting very serious.

“They are so happy and super excited to map out their long-term future together,” a source said Us weekly.

Despite “trying not to get too ahead of the curve” when it comes to “their exact arrangements,” their friends believe wedding bells are in the near future.
