The family of power actor Rotimi and his fiancé Vanessa Mdee has just grown by one.
The actor and his love singer, both 34, welcomed daughter Imani. They announced her birth on Monday in an Instagram post.
Imani joins her big brother Seven, who was born in September 2021.
The couple shared their happy news with a video showing Rotimi and Mdee each putting a hand into the frame before Seven joined his hand and finally newborn Imani’s hand.
The actor can also be seen holding his daughter, who is wrapped in a blanket, shirtless in a hospital room.

‘I still can’t believe I’m here to announce the beautiful birth of my daughter Imani! I am overwhelmed with love today @vanessamdee you are nothing short of a superhero,” he captioned the heartfelt post.
“Our second child together and seven now have a sister to watch over! God, you have given me blessings so many times, so I will give you my praise! I am forever grateful,” he concluded.
Rotimi’s song Love Somebody, from his 2021 album All or Nothing, played in the background of the sweet video.
The couple announced the pregnancy – and the fact that they are expecting a girl in September 2022.
“We are thrilled to announce that our little girl is on her way. What a beautiful proof of God’s favor. We are very happy,” the couple said People at the time.
The couple opened an umbrella that dropped pink confetti that rained down on the parents to reveal the baby’s gender.
When Seven was born, the Boss actor announced it in a similar way.
He shared a close-up photo of their newborn’s hand on Instagram, revealing his name alongside crown and dove emojis in the caption. He captioned the post, “Feeling Blessed.”

Rotimi, whose birth name is Olurotimi Akinosho, and the singer met at an after-party of the Essence Festival in New Orleans.
The Coming 2 America star wasn’t looking for love when he attended the event, although he did tell Essence.
“I was actually there with someone else, just a weekend friend,” he explained. Eventually she got sick. We were going to this party, and [she said] I don’t want to come. I said, ‘Okay, it’s fine. I’m just going for 15 minutes.’
“Eventually I’m going and some of my castmates were there too. That’s where I meet [Vanessa.] Fifteen minutes turned into an hour and a half conversation. Nothing else mattered in the room.”
After they met, Mdee had to return to Africa. She is a singer-songwriter from Tanzania.

When she eventually returned to the United States, the couple went on their first official date.
Mdee moved to the United States shortly after they started dating, and the couple got engaged on December 30, 2020.
