Paris Hilton recalls the horrific night attacks where she was dragged out of bed and handcuffed

Paris Hilton has revealed how she endured sexual abuse when she was sent to ‘tough love’ boarding schools as a teenager.

The heiress to the £11.6 billion Hilton hotels empire writes in her memoir that she endured the trials when her parents sent her to boarding schools for troubled youths in an attempt to tame her rebellious behavior.

At one of the schools, Provo Canyon School in Utah, Paris said she was sometimes drugged before being harassed.

“I swallowed the pills and stared at the wall with the immaculate mask of a catwalk model,” she writes in an excerpt published yesterday in The Times.

“Whatever they gave me made me feel like my head was disconnected from my body.

At one of the schools, Provo Canyon School in Utah, Paris said she was sometimes drugged before being harassed. “I swallowed the pills and stared at the wall with the immaculate mask of a catwalk model,” she writes in an excerpt published yesterday in The Times.

“That startled me, so I put the capsules in my bottom lip and waited for an opportunity to spit them out.

“The Provo employees had their favourites. Always beautiful girls. But I don’t think it was about pretty.

“I think these were weak people on the outside, men and women who ran off with the power they had over us.

“They took us to the infirmary and left us on the table. Made us open our legs for their stubby fingers. If we resisted, there was always a tray of syringes.

“I don’t know what was in the ‘booty juice’, but I saw children fall to the floor as it was injected.”

At another school, she recalls being awakened in the middle of the night, assaulted, and then handcuffed when school staff arrived to take her away.

“I was fast asleep around 4:30 in the morning when my bedroom door slammed open.

A fat hand grabbed my ankle and dragged me off the mattress. I was instantly awake – hyper-awake – in a state of panic. I’m about to be raped. I’m about to be killed.

“A man pressed a sweaty palm over my mouth and jerked my head back. The other held up a pair of handcuffs.’

Hilton grew up in New York’s Waldorf Astoria Hotel with her parents, Rick and Kathy Hilton, and her younger siblings, Nicky, Barron, and Conrad.

Her parents sent her to “therapeutic” boarding schools run by a company called CEDU when she was 15, after their attempts to punish her for slipping into nightclubs failed.

She attended four different CEDU branches before leaving at age 18.

She never told her parents about the abuse in the schools – she said staff threatened she would never be able to leave if she did.

After graduating from the second school, Paris said her parents forced her to attend a third school.

She writes, “I graduated and my parents came to get me. Papa was fresh and well-groomed, as always. Mom smelled like a patch of lavender in God’s backyard.

“When she brought up the topic of yet another CEDU program, I begged, ‘Mom, please, please, please take me home.’

In her memoirs she writes: ‘I graduated and my parents came to get me. Papa was fresh and well-groomed, as always. Mother smelled like a lavender field in God’s backyard”

The socialite escaped from her third boarding school and lived with a friend in New York under a pseudonym using makeup and a new wardrobe as a disguise.

“I created a character called Amber Taylor, because of Amber Valletta and Niki Taylor [both American models],’ she writes.

“I’ve been scouring thrift stores. Amber usually wore black. Wide skater clothing. Amber was more than a disguise; Amber was a completely different person.’

She was sent to the fourth CEDU school when her parents finally tracked her down.

In 2020, Paris led a protest calling for the closure of Provo Canyon.

Several hundred others attended the demo, with many sharing stories of abuse they say they suffered there or at similar schools.

In October 2021, Hilton also attended an event in Washington DC calling for childcare reform.

Paris rose to fame in her early 20s thanks to starring alongside fellow socialite Nicole Richie on the hit TV series The Simple Life, in which the pair took on jobs such as serving at fast food restaurants.

She then started modeling after signing a contract with former US President Donald Trump’s agency, T Management.

Her fame reached another level when a sex tape leaked in 2004 featuring her and boyfriend Rick Salomon.

In a statement posted on its website in 2020, Provo Canyon school officials said the institution had a different owner prior to 2000 and “therefore cannot comment on operations or patient experiences prior to that time.”
