Olympic swimmer Emily Seebohm and Married At First Sight star Ryan Gallagher are engaged.
The couple, who met Channel 10’s new reality show The Challenge last year, confirmed the happy news on Monday.
The reality star, 34, proposed to Emily, 30, at a dam on his farm near Goulburn, NSW.
He presented the swimming star with a trilogy diamond ring from Goulburn’s Zantis Jewelers, with a large square center stone to represent their love, flanked by two smaller diamonds to represent the couple.
“If you know, you know,” Ryan said women’s Day. ‘I did get nervous. The box made a bit of a bulge in my pocket. So either she knew I was proposing or she just thought I was happy to see her!’

Meanwhile, Emily explained that the couple’s quick engagement follows the theme of their blossoming romance.
“We knew by the last week (of The Challenge) that we had feelings there,” she told the magazine.
She said she had to call at the time to end her relationship with her then-boyfriend.
“Of course it wasn’t a nice call to make, but I told him what was going on and that there was something about Ryan and I didn’t see the point in wasting any more time.”
Emily and Ryan plan to get married in a ceremony on the Gold Coast in the next few years, planning a huge engagement party in the meantime.

The couple first sparked rumors that they got engaged in December after Emily was spotted wearing another diamond ring on her finger.
That came after they went official on Instagram earlier in the same month.
“Ryan is a gentleman and the nicest person I’ve met. Can’t wait to see where this journey takes us,” Emily said of their relationship.
The pair explained that they kept their romance a secret for months because they starred in The Challenge together.
“Eventually we got the shits and posted our own photo,” said Ryan.
“We just did it, it’s our relationship and there’s nothing negative about it.”
Ryan rose to fame on season five of Married at First Sight in 2018 where he was paired with Davina Rankin.
