Netflix subscribers can access a hidden upgrade to their favorite shows – here’s how you can check your eligibility

Tired of listening to actors mumble their lines when you watch your favorite shows at home?
With a Netflix upgrade, viewers can activate a sound quality upgrade for hundreds of the most watched shows.
The Spatial Audio gives users an ‘immersive cinema experience’ from the comfort of their own living room, without the need for expensive and complicated sound equipment.
More than 700 of Netflix’s favorite series are getting improved sound quality, including Wednesday, Stranger Things, The Watcher and Knives Out: Glass Onion.
But the audio upgrade is only available to Netflix Premium users – the most expensive account available.

Netflix said: “Our members with Premium will enjoy the highest quality sound available whether they are watching at home on TV or a computer, or on the go with a phone or tablet.
“Netflix Spatial Audio delivers an immersive, cinematic sound experience on any device with no additional equipment required – and now it’s available on over 700 of our top-watched titles.”
To check if your account is eligible, open Netflix on your device and go to your profile icon.
There you will see an option for Account listed. Click on this and it will say which of the Netflix account options you are currently on.
You can upgrade your account by visiting the website.

Other perks are also included, such as access to all TV shows, movies, and mobile games from the streaming platform.
If you have a compatible TV and Netflix Premium, the audio enhancement will run automatically.
Otherwise, viewers can find titles with the sound quality upgrade by searching for titles and looking for programs with the small Spatial Audio icon (like a speaker) next to the description.
