It may have been more than a year since NBA star Ben Simmons was traded by Philadelphia, but there are no signs of forgiveness or forgetting from the Aussie star, who trolled his former team for the second year in a row.
The former No. 1 draft pick was kicked out by the 76ers because they didn’t believe he could lead them to a championship and wanted more firepower to help Joel Embiid.
So Simmons was traded to the Brooklyn Nets and the 76ers would bring in former Brooklyn star James Harden to form a roster they believed could at least reach the NBA Finals.
However, the Boston Celtics crushed Philadelphia in the deciding game of the Eastern Conference semifinal series at TD Garden on Sunday, with forward Jayson Tatum dumping a game-high seven-record 51 points to the hapless Sixers.
And Simmons didn’t think it was great.
Simmons’ post on Instagram caused division. Some thought it was savage trolling, others thought it was petty – and some couldn’t get over the weird television placement

Last year, Simmons also pranked his former teammates as they crashed out of the playoffs
He placed an image of a television showing the outburst with a nice glass of red wine on the coffee table.
Fans exploded at the injured Aussie star’s post, calling it ‘cold’, ‘wild’ and ‘petty’.
Many felt it was a reward for the way the 76ers treated their former star in the messy divorce.
Ben Simmons the greatest troll of all time. Remember when Philadelphia blamed him? LMAO,” one fan posted with a slew of smiling emojis for good measure.
“We should have kept Ben Simmons and traded Embiid,” another added.
Oddly enough, some people completely shied away from trolling to complain about the off-center placement of Simmons’ television.
“I’m annoyed by the placement of Ben Simmons TV on this wall,” one fan posted.
“This living room and the TV that’s off center is as shocking as any Ben Simmons jersey,” added another.

It’s safe to say former Philly teammates Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons (pictured) probably won’t send each other Christmas cards anymore

Philadelphia flipped their roster several times to find the fix, but still hunt for that elusive NBA championship

It is also the second year in a row that Simmons has pranked his former teammates.
A fan shared an image from last year of Simmons looking smug in front of the television as the Sixers bowed out of the playoffs.
“Never forget when Ben Simmons went to the [Miami] Heat to take out the Sixers last year,” they posted.
The repeated trolling doesn’t sit well with some NBA fans.
Ben Simmons is one bad season away from retirement. Not sure who he thinks he is,” one fan posted.
“Ben Simmons Instagram story made me punch a hole in my wall, I can’t handle this,” another pretty angry fan posted.
Also how did Ben Simmons have the last laugh for posting him on Instagram watching the game? What are you talking about? LOL. He is a drifter who robbed two organizations of a lot of money. He’s a cornball,” another furious from behind the comfort of an anonymous profile.
Another Aussie was also quite happy with the result.
Tennis star Nick Kyrgios is also a Boston supporter and shared a post showing that Tatum became the first NBA player in history to reach 51 points with no turnovers in a playoffs game.
“MVP,” Kyrgios wrote.
