This is the amazing moment a missing Border Collie walked into a police station and turned himself in after being separated from his owner.

Police praised “smart” Rosie after she walked through the automatic gates into the station waiting room in Loughborough, Leicestershire, last Friday, after going missing.

Her owner had been searching frantically for her but could not find her.

However, an hour after Rosie was reunited with her relieved owner.

Leicestershire Police said: “Fortunately she was wearing a collar so a lead was available to contact Rosie’s owner who was delighted she had been found safe and sound.”

Rosie was walking nearby with a second dog when she managed to get away. What a lovely and intelligent dog.

‘Our staff went to get water for Rosie and they quickly became friends with a lot of fuss.’

Since the police posted the images on their Facebook page, they have attracted more than 2,000 views and shares.
