Michael Jordan ‘is in talks to sell majority stake in Charlotte Hornets’ ending his DISAPPOINTING 13-year tenure as owner

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Charlotette Hornets owner Michael Jordan is in serious talks to transfer a majority stake in the franchise to a group led by Hornets.

Jordann is said to be in talks to sell stake in the team to a group led by Hornets minority owner Gabe Plotkin and Atlanta Hawks minority owner Rick Schnall.

The sale of a majority share of the Hornets would mark the end of Jordan’s 13-year run as owner. He paid $275 million in 2019 for a majority stake in the franchise.

If a sale is completed, Jordan is expected to remain with the team as a minority owner.

Jordan is considered by many to be the greatest NBA player in the history of the sport and is the only black majority owner in the league.
