Manchester United are reportedly preparing for a move to Tottenham Hotspur and England striker Harry Kane.
Kane has been linked with a departure from North London this summer amid the chaos surrounding Spurs following Antonio Conte’s dramatic sacking this week.
The England captain’s future is at stake and he is unlikely to commit to another season at Spurs, which has sparked interest from a number of clubs.
One such team includes Erik ten Hag’s Man United, who are longtime admirers of the Three Lions’ all-time top goalscorer.
The 29-year-old has been on United’s shortlist since he arrived on the scene and it seems the club chiefs are finally preparing to make a bid for the Tottenham star.

Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United is one of the teams interested in signing the striker
According to the mirrorUnited’s club chiefs are fully behind ten Hag – who has made Kane his number one priority heading into the summer term.
The same outlet claims the club chiefs are hopeful the Red Devils will be able to negotiate an around £80 million deal for the Spurs striker.
There are thoughts that due to Kane’s expiring contract – one year left on his current deal – United could negotiate a lower fee for Kane.
Ten Hag is hopeful that United can be one step ahead of the competition in signing Kane and is aiming for open talks with him ahead of other teams, the outlet claims.
It is clear that Kane is leaning towards a departure from the Spurs this summer as he aims to win a trophy for the first time in his professional career.
United appear to be one of the most viable options for the England captain and could be of interest to Kane given their recent success in the Carabao Cup.
The 29-year-old made history earlier this week after becoming England’s all-time top goalscorer, overtaking United legend Wayne Rooney.
Kane scored in Naples against Italy in the 44th minute on Thursday to overtake Rooney on 54 goals.
