“I don’t take any of this for granted, I feel like the happiest girl in the world and I’m so grateful for all your support.”

Madonna was visibly teary-eyed as she continued, “I can’t wait to put the show together and have a moment on stage with you all to celebrate the last four decades of my journey.”

While a movie seems unlikely in the near future, a source told the outlet that Madonna still hopes to direct a movie about her “extraordinary” life one day.

Garner, a Golden Globe and multiple Emmy Award-winning actress, is said to have gone through a grueling audition process to land the role.

The highly anticipated project has been teased by the Devil Pray hitmaker since 2020 when she announced it was in the works.

Over the course of the past three years, she’s gone through multiple screenwriting careers, including Academy Award winner Diablo Cody.

“I have a very long script that is very difficult for me to shorten,” Madonna admitted last summer. “I’ve only done some work on it, but it’s like chopping my limbs off.”
