The 2019 sequel to Shazam is the first of four DCEU films set to release in 2023 and hit theaters March 17.
The film will be followed by The Flash (June 16), Blue Bettle (August 18), and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom (December 25).
Zachary – who debunked rumors that he was recast in December – returns as the titular character – the adult superhero Billy Batson (Asher Angel) turns into, after being given amazing powers by a wizard (Djimon Hounsou) in the original Shazam!
Shazam tells the story of Billy Batson and his fellow foster kids who gain the powers of the gods while learning to juggle teenage life with their adult superhero alter egos.
A vengeful trio of ancient gods arrive on Earth in an attempt to recover the magic stolen from them long ago, thrusting Shazam (Zachary Levi) and his allies into a battle for their superpowers, their lives and the fate of the world.
It comes after Dame Helen Mirren revealed she broke her finger while performing her own stunts on the set of Shazam! Anger of the gods.

“I wanted to do it because I loved the first Shazam. It was sweet and funny. I’m not a big superhero type, but I thought it was a great idea and gladly signed up for the second one. It is awesome.’
