Logitech has unveiled a new docking station hub and desk booking system to take the pressure off businesses looking to support an easy hybrid work culture.
The Logi Dock Flex promises to be a “full-featured” docking station for those working in a desk-sharing setup, offering a single USB connection to open up a range of options for employees who bring their laptops to the office.
That USB connects the laptop to the Logi Dock Flex’s 8-inch display, the trio of front-facing (read: easily accessible) USB ports, and a second trio of rear-facing USB ports.

In addition to connecting to peripherals, the Dock Flex can be paired with a dual-display setup, providing the network connection and 100 watts of power to keep even the hungriest mobile workstations fed.
Logitech hopes the dock’s screen will serve as a personal message board for employees, with options for background image personalization and, most importantly, meeting and calendar integration.
This all works with the Logi Tune app, which allows businesses to display on-screen messages such as desk availability. IT departments can also remotely access the device to manage settings and keep the dock in line with their hybrid work policies and network settings.
The Logi Dock Flex will go on sale in Fall 2023 for $699, but businesses wanting to try out the desk-booking service can do so today for free through the Sync management portal.
However, insights, alerts, and maps are considered premium features and require an ongoing subscription. For now, however, they will remain in beta (free) until July 1, 2024.
