Lisa Marie Presley’s ex-husband Michael Lockwood is filing documents to represent their twins in court
Lisa Marie Presley’s ex-husband Michael Lockwood has filed documents to represent their daughters in an upcoming court hearing.
Lockwood, 61, wants to represent the interests of twins Harper and Finley, 14, in a hearing involving Lisa Marie’s multi-million dollar trust, according to TMZ.
The guitarist – who was married to the late singer from 2006 to 2021 – is asking a judge to appoint him as an ‘ad litem curator’ and give him power of attorney to speak on behalf of the girls.
Presley — who suffered a fatal cardiac arrest on Jan. 12 at age 54 — had two life insurance policies, one for $25 million and another for $10 million. The trust has become a major point of contention for the family, including Lisa’s mother Priscilla Presley, 77, and her oldest daughter Riley Keough, 33.
Priscilla was originally a trustee, but was removed by the star a few years before her death and replaced by Riley. The will includes the rights to the Graceland mansion and a 15 percent interest in Elvis Presley Enterprises.

In a 2016 amendment to her will, Lisa Marie removed her mother as her executor and named her two adult children Riley and Benjamin Keough as her only heirs. Lisa shared Riley and Benjamin with first husband Danny Keough, 58. The couple was married from 1988 to 1994.
Benjamin died by suicide in 2020, leaving Riley as the sole heir, but Priscilla is now fighting the amendment, which will completely remove her from the will.
Michael is reportedly aligned with Priscilla on the trust issue, which would allow them to duke it out in court against Riley.
It was also recently reported that Priscilla and Lisa Marie “barely spoke” prior to the latter’s death after she sided with Lockwood during a bitter custody battle over the twins.
Multiple sources told People that the mother and daughter couldn’t speak to each other prior to Lisa Marie’s death, despite appearing at multiple events together, including the Elvis biopic.
The former couple battled it out in court until October 2022, and the tension trickled down to Lisa Marie’s daughter Riley.
“Riley was always on her mother’s side when it came to Michael,” a source told People. “It bothered her that her grandmother and Michael flew to the funeral together.”
Priscilla also helped Michael make her way to the ceremony, despite her late daughter’s wishes.

Inconsistent: Priscilla filed a petition to question the “authenticity and validity” of the trust after claiming that Lisa Marie’s signature was “inconsistent” just days after her daughter’s memorial service; Priscilla and Lisa proposed 2011
“Michael wasn’t invited,” a close friend of Lisa Marie’s told the magazine. “He came to Memphis under the pretense of escorting the twins — and he forced his way in with Priscilla’s help.
“The last thing Lisa Marie would have wanted was for Michael to be there.”
During the 2019 custody battle, Lisa Marie filed an amendment to her living will, making Riley and her late son Benjamin her heirs and removing Priscilla and her former manager Barry Siegel as co-custodians.
Priscilla filed a petition to question the “authenticity and validity” of the trust after claiming Lisa Marie’s signature is “inconsequential.” She filed the petition in a Los Angeles court just days after her daughter’s memorial service.
The grandmother of four also claimed she was unaware that Lisa Marie had changed the trust in 2016 until after her daughter’s death.
If Priscilla’s petition succeeds, she and Riley would become co-custodians of Lisa Marie’s estate, but neither wants the other’s clout, a source said.
“Priscilla doesn’t want Riley to be in charge alone because then she has nothing to say. Meanwhile, Riley doesn’t want Priscilla to interfere,” a source told People.
“It’s a very sad situation. Riley is shocked that Priscilla is contesting the amendment,” another source said. “They disagree,” another source said. The pair will battle it out in court on April 13.

Bankruptcy: In a recent lawsuit, Michel claimed that his ongoing legal battle with Lisa Marie over their split had cost him more than a million dollars in legal fees and that he was considering bankruptcy; In the photo 2011
Michael lost his 2016 bid during their divorce to undo their prenup, but he reopened the case in 2021.
Before her death, they would have had 50/50 custody of their children, with Michael taking care of them with his new wife, and Lisa Marie paying $4,600 in child support per month to the guitarist.
However, Radar reported that they recently reached a settlement where she would pay him $6,000 a month.
In a recent lawsuit, Michel claimed his ongoing legal battle with Lisa Marie over their split had cost him more than a million dollars in legal fees and that he was considering bankruptcy.
He sought $40,000 a month in child support and insisted she had more money than she claimed in court documents.
The final settlement was not made public, but days after the agreement, Michael remarried while tying the knot with Stephanie Hobgood.
Meanwhile, the twins — who lived with their mom in their $4 million Calabasas home when she died — have since divided their time between their grandmother Priscilla’s house and their father’s house.
