Jake Gyllenhaal showed off his seriously ripped physique on Friday when he filmed a shirtless scene for the Road House remake.

The 42-year-old protagonist — who was recently spotted filming his new AppleTV series Presumed Innocent — rocked washboard abs and bulging muscles as he made his way to a UFC stage.

In full character, a jacked Gyllenhaal weighed in on stage before slamming his hulking opponent, mixed martial artist Jay Hieron, 46.

The Ambulance star cocked his jaw-dropping guns and roared at the crowd, displaying a fair amount of macho angst.

Gyllenhaal plays a former UFC fighter who takes a job as a bouncer in the Florida Keys and “quickly discovers that all is not as it seems in this tropical paradise,” according to the synopsis.

In a video of the scene, Gyllenhaal’s character is billed as “the Challenger” as he runs onto the stage and removes his sweatshirt, revealing his dazzling body.

With a full-on six-pack, pronounced cocks, and sculpted arms, the A-list heartthrob sure looked good as he took down his opponent.

Jake met Hieron in the middle of the stage, where they engaged in inaudible smack talk before Gyllenhaal threw a fake punch.

The Brokeback Mountain star took to the microphone and said, “This son of a bitch just makes me laugh because he’s a FU**ING JOKE! Let’s go. Just give me the belt. Just give it to me. Give it to me.’

Hieron’s character wasn’t too happy, as he called Gyllenhaal’s fighter “a fucking bum” and said, “I promise you this is the one real hit you’ll get.” I’ll put you to sleep tomorrow night.’

Update on a classic: Gyllenhaal plays a former UFC fighter who takes a job as a bouncer in the Florida Keys and “quickly discovers that all is not as it seems in this tropical paradise.” The late Patrick Swayze starred in the original hit 1989 movie (pictured right)

In an interview with Good morning America last year, Gyllenhaal spoke about the remake and the late Patrick Swayze, who starred in the original hit 1989 movie.

“They’re big shoes to fill,” he said, “but Patrick was a friend when he was here. We made a movie together when I was quite young called Donnie Darko.’

Gyllenhaal was 21 years old when he was filming the 2001 sci-fi fantasy movie with Swayze: “He was always so loving and kind to me.

“I take all of that to heart in playing the role and there are some things I take from him, but overall we’ve made a brand new movie and I’m really excited about it.”
