Before she killed her son and the little girl she was supposed to babysit, prosecutors said Elzbieta M. Plackowska, 40, told them they were going to heaven and should get on their knees to pray.
Police found Plackowska covered in blood in a home in suburban Naperville, Illinois, and after extensive questioning, she allegedly told police she killed her son Justin, 7, and his friend Olivia Dworakowski because they had “evil in them.” ‘.
Prosecutors in a court this morning said Plackowska had a fight with her husband and felt unappreciated as a babysitter, so she killed the children in a fit of rage.

“She told Justin he was going to heaven tonight as she repeatedly stabbed him,” DuPage County Attorney Robert Berlin told the court, according to the Daily Herald.
“He begged her to stop and said he loved her.”
Describing the scene before the grisly murder, Mr Berlin said the two children jumped on their beds at Olivia’s house, where Plackowska was supposed to look after her.
The babysitter then ordered them to lie down on the floor and pray before going to sleep.
“The children had evil in them,” Plackowska is said to have told police.
Mr. Berlin said she was “trying to drive the evil out of them.” She said the devil was in them.’
Both children’s throats were cut and Justin was found in a bed, Olivia on the floor.
Prosecutors say that after Plackowska killed the innocent, she began frantically calling a local church and leaving numerous messages.

She then went to a friend’s house and claimed that someone robbed her. Her boyfriend was suspicious of the story because the details kept changing, Mr. Berlin said.
Meanwhile, Olivia’s mother Marta Dworakowski, a nurse, called the police because when she came home from her night shift, Plackowska’s car was not there and she could not enter the house.
Police were able to break into the suburban home on Quin Court just after 10pm and found blood all over the hallway leading them to the nursery.
“Both victims had been stabbed numerous times,” said Mr. Berlin. “It appeared that both victims’ throats had been cut.”
Officers also found that the family’s two dogs had also been stabbed to death.
When questioned by police, Plackowska told them several stories, including one where a stalker attacked her own wrists. Eventually, they said, she admitted to killing the children.
She told them that she had an argument with her husband Artur, a truck driver, about his work schedule and that she felt abused as a babysitter. The couple also have a middle-aged son who has not been named.
Sources told the Daily Herald that Plackowska was stressed for several days after her father’s death and was eager to return to Poland, a decision her husband objected to.
Olivia was a preschooler at Brookdale Elementary School and Justin attended Scott School in Naperville District 203.
Police say Plackowska is awaiting suicide in jail after being charged with two counts of first-degree murder.
“In all my years on the force, this was the most gruesome and gruesome crime scene I’ve seen,” Naperville Police Chief Robert Marshall told the Chicago Tribune after today’s hearing.
The tragedy comes less than a week after a New York City babysitter allegedly stabbed to death two young children in her care before slitting her own throat and wrists in an attempt to take her life.
