Hero Agents Knocked Out Trans School Shooter While RELOADING After Shooting From Second Floor Window
The heroic Nashville police officers who took out transgender female gunman Audrey Hale, 28, at Covenant Presbyterian School on Monday, did so when she attempted to reload after firing shots at cars below from a second-story window.
An officer can be heard yelling, “Reload,” as he encountered the crazed killer and began firing a volley of shots in her direction, knocking her off her feet. A second officer then fired several more shots, neutralizing Hale.
Nashville Metro Police Chief John Drake also said at a news conference Tuesday that Hale demonstrated “some training to shoot from a higher level” and knew he had to “stand off the glass so (he) wouldn’t be an easy target.” are’. In total, Hale shot and killed three children and three employees of the school.
The three children killed were identified as Evelyn Dieckhaus, Hallie Scruggs and William Kinney. Also shot dead were Katherine Koonce, 60, the head of the school; Mike Hill, 61, a school custodian; and Cynthia Peak, 61, a substitute teacher.
The brave officers who knocked down Hale and entered the building with no tactical armor, one armed only with a pistol, have been named as Officer Rex Engelbert and Officer Michael Collazo. They were part of a five-man team that chased Hale through the building.

Security cameras captured her pulling into the mostly empty school parking lot and the adjacent Covenant Presbyterian Church.
Chief Drake said police are still investigating what prompted the killer to open fire Monday morning at the Presbyterian school where she used to study.
He said in an interview with NBC News that detectives believe the killer “had some grudge because he had to go to that school.”

Hale is seen driving across the parking lot and appears calm.
There’s nothing to indicate anything out of the ordinary when she finds a parking spot as she drives past some parked cars.
10:10 a.m. – Hale opens a fire retardant glass door to the church
The glass front doors, which had been locked, are shattered when Hale opens fire.
Pieces of glass fall to the floor as most of the two double doors are broken by gunfire.
She then steps through the frame of the smashed glass door, with debris on the floor around her.
Hale then steps into the church’s empty reception area, which is adjacent to the school.

Brandishing her assault rifle, Hale is seen entering a carpeted room in the church, looking for casualties.
The room appears empty, as Hale leaves it again a short time after entering.

Hale can be seen on the same camera in the church, still looking for victims, turning left and right while holding her rifle.
She opens a door to the next room and steps inside.

Hale returns through the door and aims her gun, though no one is there.

Hale now walks through a wood-floored building identified as “first” in the footage, past an empty reception area.
She sneaks down the hallway and then disappears from sight. In the next four minutes of no footage, Hale shoots six people.
She shot and killed principal Katherine Koonce in the hallway in a “murder” style killing, in addition to shooting church custodian Mike Hill and deputy teacher Cynthia Peak.
Hale also killed three nine-year-old students; Hallie Scraggs, William Kinney and Evelyn Dieckhaus.
Police do not believe any of the students were specifically targeted.

At the beginning of the video from the Nashville Police Department, an officer can be seen removing a gun from his briefcase as a member of staff tells him that the school is on lockdown, but there is no explanation for two children.
‘Let’s go! I need three!’ the officer yells as he uses a key to unlock a door and enter the building, where alarms are heard.

The video shows officers passing bulletin boards and card indexes as they empty one room after another.

When the officers reach the second floor, one of them says, “We’ve got one down” before running down the hallway to confront the gunman.
Officers move quickly down the hallway as intermittent shots are heard in the distance.

Officer Michael Collazo, who was armed with a handgun, fired four shots at Hale. He then approached her body to strip it of weapons and checked that she was still alive
Seconds later, Officer Engelbert and Officer Collazo both fire several rounds at the suspect. The video shows the assailant still moving on the ground as another officer repeatedly yells, “Get your hands off the gun!”
Earlier police statements said Hale was in conversation with officers, but in the video it doesn’t appear the gunman fired before being killed.
Hale stood at a large window in an atrium on the second floor of The Covenant School.
Police previously released surveillance footage showing the gunman arriving at the school and entering by shooting through a glass door.
The suspect is seen prowling empty corridors as emergency lights flash, brandishing a rifle and entering rooms, seemingly looking for people.
