Graham Potter has reiterated that Chelsea will ‘try’ to win the Champions League in a light-hearted response to Real Madrid’s quarter-final draw of the competition.
Potter was speaking at a club event this week when asked for a message for the Chelsea fans. His reaction surprised supporters as he proclaimed: ‘The support we’ve had has been amazing. And we need it on Saturday. We’ll try to beat Everton, then we’ll get the draw and then we’ll try to win the goddamn Champions League.’
His X-rated comment went viral and showcased Potter’s personality, which isn’t always apparent on the sidelines.
