Gino D’Acampo LEAVES ITV’s Gordon, Gino and Fred: Road Trip in row over ‘complicated’ contracts

‘I don’t want to argue with my friends over contracts’: Gino D’Acampo LEAVES ITV’s Gordon, Gino and Fred: Road Trip after three series

Gino D’Acampo has revealed that he has retired from his hit ITV show Gordon, Gino and Fred: Road Trip after three series.

The chef, 46, revealed in a lengthy Instagram post on Sunday that he is leaving over an argument over contacts.

The show saw the Italian TV favorite travel the world with fellow foodies Gordon Ramsay and Fred Sirieix as they discovered the local cuisine.

Gino said his friendship with his departure has nothing to do with his former ones, whose “strong friendships” mean more to him than squabbles over contracts.

His followers say: ‘Last week I decided not to film Gordon, Gino and Fred Road trips anymore. The reason is very simple: nothing to do with Gordon or Fred, the friendship is very strong’.

He continued, ‘It’s just because we can’t get the dates together and sometimes when we get the dates together they sometimes get changed and that causes a lot of problems for me because I have other things to do’.

“Personal problems too, because if I have to change things with my family, it’s very complicated and also because of contracts.”

Gino is married to Jessica Stellina Morrison with whom he shares sons Luciano, 21, and Rocco, 18.

Gino continues, ‘As contracts are starting to get very complicated and stressful, I personally value the friendship with Gordon and Fred so much that I’d rather have the friendship than fight with the contract’.

“So I’ve decided not to do it anymore, because I want to be friends with the boys for many, many years to come.”

The popular show first aired in 2018 as the trio toured France and Italy before heading to America in 2020, followed two years later by a trip to Greece.

The series has also spawned three Christmas specials.
