Florence Pugh praises ex-boyfriend Zach Braff as she reveals hilarious texts he sent

Florence Pugh heaped praise on her ex-boyfriend Zach Braff during her Monday appearance on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon.

Proving they are still on good terms, the 27-year-old actress revealed that he sent her a lucky text just hours before the talk show, with a hilarious typo.

Back in August, Florence announced she had split with the actor and filmmaker, 47, after three years together in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar.

The Little Women star appeared on the show to promote her new movie, A Good Person, written by Zach.

When he brought up the upcoming photo, Jimmy said, “I want to talk about your new movie, A Good Person. This is written and directed by Zach Braff, who I love. He’s a great guy. So talented, but also super funny.’

Florence chimed in, “Yeah, let’s give him a round of applause,” before adding, “He told me to have fun tonight, but he texted, ‘Tell mom I love him.’

“It was a typo and it was actually Jimmy!” she exclaimed, to which the comedian joked, “I wanted to say, ‘Did he ever call me mommy?’ That is cool.’

Florence quipped, “Yeah, tell Mom you love him too.” Mama loves you, Zach!” while the audience roared with laughter.’

In a serious tone, Jimmy continued, “But he wrote this movie for you…”

Florence said, ‘I was his muse. I also think it’s so easy to read a script when someone knows how you talk and how far they can push you and what you can do. So it was just a delight.’

Florence pulled double duty as producer and lead actress opposite Morgan Freeman in the grief drama A Good Person, which hits UK and US theaters this Friday.

The Scrubs alum – who turns 48 next month – has remained more than amicable with the 5ft3in blonde, having had dinner with her and her family on Saturday night.
