Eddie Izzard has introduced her new female name that she’s wanted to use since she was ten.
The comedian and aspiring MP, 61, revealed she now alternates between her original name and a new one, but says people can choose which name they want to call her by.
The gender fluid artist was interviewed Matt Forde’s Political Party podcast on Monday and she shared her new name during the chat.
Eddie has been using she/her pronouns since 2020, but “don’t mind” if people use him/her pronouns to address her.
She said, ‘I’m Eddie. There’s another name I’m going to add too, which is Suzy, which I’ve wanted to be since I was 10. I’m going to be Suzy Eddie Izzard.”

Eddie then added, “That’s how I’m going to roll so people can choose what they want.” They can’t make a mistake, they can’t go wrong.’
Eddie said earlier to Huffington Post: “I spent 50 years mostly in boy mode, so let’s try the next 50 years in girl mode.
It’s just a language change. And nobody should worry about that.
“I’m still gender fluid and I say to everyone who has supported me, ‘Relax people, he or she, it doesn’t really matter.’ The pronoun thing is not the main thing, the main thing was to come out [as trans] in 1985 that was the difficult time.’
Eddie calls himself “a little bit boyish and a little bit girly.” She uses the word “transgender” as an umbrella term.
She rose to fame as a cross-dressing comedian, but now identifies as a gender fluid trans woman.
Eddie announced two years ago that she would prefer female pronouns and that she plans to “go into girl mode from now on.”

It came after a 2021 appearance on the Sky Arts program Portrait Artist of the Year first revealed her desired pronoun change.
Eddie admitted that she couldn’t believe some were surprised by her words because she’s felt that way since childhood.
She said, “I’ve known I was trans since I was four or five. My feelings from the age of five have not changed an inch. Not an inch shifted, not even a millimeter.
“Thirty-five years ago I came out of the closet. The rest is language. I’ve been through such hell since ’85 that the idea that I recently came out just sounds ridiculous.’
Eddie’s latest revelation comes after the star revealed that she had secretly “breast envy” for much of her life observing other women’s bosoms.
The Yemeni-born comedian recently announced she’s in “girl mode” after confirming she’s a gender-fluid woman.
And while the star talked about her dreams of developing the shape of a woman with ample breasts, she also stated that she has not ruled out the use of non-feminine pronouns.
In a new interview with The protector, Eddie said, ‘I’ve had breast envy since I was a teenager. Just when teenage girls my age were saying, “I want boobs,” I thought yes, me too. But I couldn’t tell.
“They talk about penis envy, and I believe some women suffer from penis envy. I can’t get my head around this. But yes, I’ve always envied breasts.’
