The suspect, identified as Jose Spencer Bilbao Rivers, was apprehended by police while defecating in a small white bucket.
Police had raided his home in the capital Lima, Peru, where they discovered large quantities of class A drug cocaine.

He claimed he suffered from diarrhea and was unaware that drugs were being prepared for sale at his premises.
The man pleaded ignorance despite police recording him allegedly selling drugs.
Police claim he was preparing bags of cocaine on the ground floor and only fled upstairs when he heard them break in.
Police had obtained a search warrant for the property.
At first the suspect denied that the drugs belonged to him, then he admitted to selling only what was left of his personal use.
He then finally admitted that he had been selling it for several months, but claimed he made no more than 4.2 PEN (1 GBP) for each bag.
