A disabled fan of Harry Styles was devastated after being seated in a seat without a view of the stage during his concert in Queensland on Tuesday night.
The woman, named Dominique, shared a post on Facebook explaining that she was excited to attend the concert but was “gutted” to be in a room where she was “unable to see both the screens and the stage”. to see’.
“If I’m being completely honest, I’ve cried more in the last few days than in the past year. I headed to the Harry Styles Love On Tour concert at Heritage Bank Stadium with immense trepidation and intense anxiety,” she explained.
Dominique said she asked for the closest tickets to the stage and was told the ‘A’ spare seat was the cabinet with wheelchair access.
“I was thankful I went to the concert in the first place, so I accepted the fact that I wouldn’t be as close as I’d hoped,” she continued.

She went on to explain: “When we arrived at Heritage Bank Stadium and got through security, we went straight to our seats. At first I thought I would be able to see the screens, but as the stadium filled up with thousands of fans and the moment Harry appeared on stage, all my worst fears were confirmed within 2 seconds.”
‘I couldn’t see anything. The moment everyone stood in front of me, my view was completely obstructed. I couldn’t see either side of the screens, as well as the stage, it stayed that way for the whole concert.’
“My support officer approached security and the seat manager and asked if we could be moved but was told we would run into the same problem no matter where we moved, I wouldn’t be able to see anything. I was gutted. Devastated and utterly destroyed, beyond my comprehension.’

Dominique said all people with disabilities should have the right to access public venues, including concerts.
“The level of discrimination displayed by Heritage Bank Stadium that night was extremely palpable and just not good enough. We are in 2023 and ‘inclusion’ unfortunately still isn’t ‘inclusive’ enough,’ she continued.
“The fact that you are disabled and in a wheelchair is unforgivable and unacceptable to just not be able to see what you are paying for.”
“Most of the other people who attended the concert that night had easy access to and view of all screens except those who were in wheelchairs. That’s just unfair. We pay the same price as everyone else and have the same right to enjoy the concert.’

It comes after Heartbreak High star Chloé Hayden launched a scathing rant against Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium last week after claiming she was denied access to the sensory chamber.
The 25-year-old actress, who lives with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), requested room access Friday when she attended a Harry Styles concert and said she was turned away by security.
The sensory room contains noise-canceling headphones, weighted blankets, and fidget tools so that autistic people or those with severe sensory issues have a safe place to go.
“Hey @marvelstadium, reminder, you can’t preach inclusivity and then not let me in the sensory room because you’ve decided I don’t look autistic enough,” she began.
“How g***amn disappointingly the same venue has proven that flying the watch flag and ticking the disabled box is where the values begin and end,” she added.
