Cricketer Marcus Harris marries Catrona McAteer in Melbourne

Marcus Harris has married his fiancé Catrona McAteer in a stunning, intimate ceremony in Melbourne.

The cricketer and his bride had just 11 guests at their ceremony as they exchanged vows at Melbourne’s historic Treasury Building.

After walking down the aisle, they had a small dinner with family and friends in a private dimming room at the nearby Gimlet restaurant.

In stunning photos from their big day, Catrona looked ethereal in a Hera Couture gown from Melbourne’s Bluebell Bridal.

The dress, which dropped off her shoulders, featured a tiered sweetheart neckline and corset bodice, before flowing down to a train.

Cat told The Herald Sun that the couple opted for an intimate wedding, but will follow with a larger celebration.

“Both of our families have come over from Perth and we’ve decided to do something small and hopefully do something with more family and our Perth cricket friends,” she said.

“It was difficult at the moment to organize something bigger. We are now Melbourne residents and have bought a house and Marcus likes to play cricket here.’

Cat, a digital and communication specialist, and her sports crush Marcus started dating in 2017.
