One of Chris Rock’s jokes about Will Smith has reportedly been cut from his Netflix special, after he messed it up during the live broadcast.
The comic had used his live show to break his silence when he was punched by the actor at the Academy Awards in March, delivering a series of stinging reprimands to Will and wife Jada Pinkett-Smith.
But after Chris admitted to “making up” a joke on Will’s recent movie Concussion, eagle-eyed fans have noticed that the joke has been removed from the final cut of the special.
The program originally aired live on Netflix on Friday, the first time a streaming service has done so.
It has been reported that Will is “embarrassed and hurt” by Chris’ decision to base his Netflix special on their clash, and would like him to “let it go.”
Away! One of Chris Rock’s jokes about Will Smith has reportedly been removed from his Netflix special, after he messed it up during the live broadcast.

oops! After Chris admitted to “making up” a joke on Will’s recent film Concussion, eagle-eyed fans have noticed that the joke has been removed from the final cut of the special.
On his special, Chris discussed the blow in a tantalizing monologue, claiming that Jada was the one who “started this” while claiming she told him to “stop the Oscars.”
Chris added that Jada called on him to quit because Will was not nominated for the movie Concussion.
However, Chris got the title of Will’s film wrong and had to correct himself before admitting to the audience that he had blundered the joke.
He said, “Years ago his wife told me to quit the Oscars. I shouldn’t host because her husband is not nominated for Emancipation.
The biggest piece of shit ever. Okay, so the n****r is giving me a terrible concussion. No, not emancipation, I made up the joke. Concussion.”
Fans quickly noticed that when watching the special now, Chris’ prank comes with the correct movie title and his apology for screwing it up has been removed.
One tweeted, “Feel so bad for Chris Rock. He waited a year to get revenge on his bully and wrote an AMAZING final 10 minutes for his live special… Still spectacular, of course, but it couldn’t have been out of this world.”
Another added, “Chris Rock really had a year to practice that Will Smith concussion joke and choked on stage.”

Furious: Will would be embarrassed and hurt by Chris’ decision to base a new Netflix special on their infamous clash
One fan also tweeted, “Chris Rock really screwed up that concussion/emancipation joke.”
MailOnline has reached out to a Netflix representative for comment.
Will is said to be “embarrassed and hurt” by Chris Rock’s decision to base a new Netflix special on their Oscars clash last year.
The pair made ceremonial history for all the wrong reasons after Smith marched onstage and punched Rock in the face for joking about wife Jada Pinkett-Smith’s alopecia.
Smith has since been punished with a 10-year suspension from the awards ceremony, while Rock – who presented at the event in 2022 – has used the incident as source material for his new stand-up show.
Appearing at the Hippodrome Theater in Baltimore – ironically Pinkett-Smith’s hometown – the 58-year-old Rock delivered a series of sharp rebukes directed at the married couple, including a comedic monologue inspired by her extramarital affair with singer August Alsina.
Sources have already said so Entertainment tonight that Smith is deeply moved by the Netflix special and is eager for Rock to “let it go.”
While reportedly hurt and embarrassed by Selective Outrage, the outlet claims that Smith has yet to actually watch it and has instead been made aware of the content by those who have.
Rock has accused the Oscar winner of having “selective outrage” during the show’s finale and throwing salt at the wound by repeating Pinkett-Smith’s well-documented infidelity.
But a source close to the comedian tells DailyMail.com that it could have been avoided with a simple “I’m sorry.”
“Chris never got a one-on-one private apology from Will, just a public apology that really meant nothing,” insisted a source close to the comedian. In fact, Will has only raised the situation twice — once on Instagram the day after the Oscars and once in a video apology.
But the insider insisted Rock’s decision to repeat the scandal on his Netflix show had nothing to do with seeking vengeance, but rather was a way for the comedian to “go all out” and “get ready.” to be with’.
“Chris wanted to get this out there once and for all and get rid of it. This was very cathartic for him,” the source added.
The comedian certainly didn’t hold back when it came to dredging up the slapgate scandal on stage.
Instead, he doubled down on his attack on the A-list couple by bringing up Pinkett-Smith’s admitted affair with her son Jaden’s close friend, musician August Alsini, in 2020.
To a shocked audience both live and on location, Rock said Smith had misdirected his anger over the fact that “his wife fucked her son’s friend.”
Rock’s tirade has since been hailed on social media as “the perfect/best way” to get back at Smith for the moment that changed both of their careers.
The comedian made spectators and live viewers wait until the last ten minutes of “Chris Rock: Selective Outrage” before addressing the clap.
“You all know what happened to me when I got hit by Suge Smith,” the comedian joked. Rock said, “It still hurts. I’ve got ‘Summertime’ in my ears.”
He brought up Jada on the show, talking about her affair and his frustration that he was the one who “brought the brunt” of the couple’s marital problems.
“Will Smith is exercising selective outrage,” Rock said, nodding to the title of the special.
“Anyone who really knows knows I had nothing to do with that. I had no complications… She hurt him much more than he hurt me.’
The blow came last year after Rock made a joke about Pinkett-Smith’s bald head caused by alopecia.
Rock had joked that Pinkett-Smith rocked a “G.I. Jane” look, leading her husband to storm the stage and slap him, then repeat: “Keep my wife’s name out of your mouth!”
On his new stand-up special, Rock joked about his struggles the following year.
‘Anyone who says ‘words hurt’ has never been punched in the face,” he said.
“But I’m not a victim, honey. You’ll never see me cry at Oprah or Gayle,” Rock said. He joked that he liked that s**t [Manny] Pacquaio.’
The crowd in the audience laughed out loud as those at home expressed their views via social media.
And to make matters worse, his humiliating backlash aired exactly one week before the 2023 Oscars are set to take place on March 12 — an event Smith will not be allowed to attend for the next decade due to his violent outburst at last year’s ceremony.
The infamous clap happened in March 2022 when Rock took the stage to present an Oscar for Best Documentary Feature.
Turning to the Smiths, he said he was “looking forward” to seeing Pinkett-Smith in GI Jane, who made fun of her shaved head.
Smith immediately got on stage and punched Chris in the side of the head. After returning to his front row seat, he yelled, “Keep the goddamn name of my wife’s mother out of your mouth.”

In the weeks that followed, the actor was forced to resign from the Academy, which then banned him for 10 years.
On his Saturday night stand-up special, Rock shared his afterthoughts, telling the audience, “Anyone who says words hurt has never been punched in the face. But I’m not a victim, honey. You’ll never see me cry at Oprah or Gayle.
“Everyone called him ab**ch, and who is he hitting? Me. You all know what happened to me when I was beaten by Suge Smith,” he joked. ‘It still hurts. I’ve got ‘Summertime’ in my ears.”
Rock then discussed why he didn’t hit Will back, saying, “You know what my parents taught me? Don’t fight in front of white people.”
