A British man has been arrested after updating a female holidaymaker who sat next to him on a Ryanair flight from Liverpool to Mallorca.
Air stewards called police from 35,000 feet after the woman, who is also British, complained that he had touched her breasts and asked her to have sex with him in the toilet.
The 35-year-old man was detained when the plane landed late Sunday at Palma airport.
The unnamed Briton was reportedly fined £2,500 after being taken to court yesterday for a speedy trial.
A Civil Guard spokesman said today: “I can confirm that late Sunday evening we arrested a 35-year-old British man on suspicion of sexual abuse.
He was detained when he got off the plane on arrival and brought to trial in a police cell after one night.
